Senior Design Engineer

Andrei Turcan is a Senior Refrigeration Design Engineer with extensive experience in the design and delivery of industrial and retail refrigeration systems. He specialises in natural refrigerant technologies, with particular expertise in transcritical CO₂ (R744) systems, and bespoke industrial cooling applications.

His experience spans refrigeration design, project engineering, technical consultancy and the production of comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, plant layouts, P&IDs and construction packages. Working closely with clients, contractors and project stakeholders, Andrei develops practical, energy-efficient solutions that meet operational requirements while ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry standards.

Beyond design, Andrei undertakes technical site surveys, design audits, installation inspections and commissioning support, providing engineering guidance throughout all stages of project delivery. He also collaborates directly with clients to develop project strategies, assess technical feasibility and resolve complex engineering challenges.

Alongside project delivery, Andrei develops engineering standards, delivers technical training and mentors design engineers, helping to build technical capability and promote best practice across the business. His practical engineering background, combined with a strong focus on innovation, quality and continuous improvement, enables him to deliver robust refrigeration solutions that are efficient, reliable and maintainable.
